Law Enforcement Services
The City of Frost does not currently have a municipal police department. Law enforcement coverage is proudly provided by the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office, which responds to calls and patrols our community as needed.

For non-emergency matters, contact the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office directly at 903-654-3001.
We remain committed to public safety and appreciate the partnership and support of our county law enforcement.
Public Information Regarding TCOLE Action
On August 3, 2026, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) revoked the City of Frost's appointing authority for the Frost Police Department.
Following TCOLE's action, the City immediately began complying with the Commission's directive while ensuring uninterrupted law enforcement services for our community.
Because this matter has generated significant public interest, the City has prepared the information below to provide residents with a complete and transparent account of the City's response. These documents are provided so every resident has the opportunity to review the same information considered by the City throughout this process.

Current Status
- The City has completed the immediate actions required by TCOLE.
- Law enforcement services continue to be provided by the Navarro County Sheriff's Office.
- The Frost City Council will consider the future of law enforcement services during future properly posted public meetings.
